Clearwater Escapes
Lakeside Cottage
Our Lakeside Cottage
This exquisite and private seasonal cottage in the woods
is nestled in nature yet filled with modern conveniences.
It has swimming, boating, and fishing as well as
many nearby nature walks. It is surrounded by
stunning natural beauty.
The cottage is on the shores of Clearwater Lake in
The Western Maine Mountain Region on 19 wooded acres.
Clearwater Lake is one of Maine's most pristine, spring-fed lakes.
The lake has over 750 acres,
six-and-one-half miles of shore line and a maximum depth of 135 feet.
The cottage is near the culturally rich college town
of Farmington, Maine and a little under 200 miles
distant from Boston.
It is a traditional Maine seasonal "camp".
The cottage is not insulated but features a high quality "Vermont Castings"
wood-burning stove. We keep a good supply of firewood on hand.
Using the wood-burning stove, the cottage can be kept cozy and warm from
Spring through Fall. However it gets too cold for comfortable use during the
cold Maine winters. So, during those winter months we turn off the running
water and close the cottage until Spring.
